Sepand Safarkar

Piano

Sepand began his musical journey at the age of seven, inspired and guided by his father, a music analyst whose deep understanding of music played an important role in shaping Sepand’s early musical development. This early influence helped cultivate his lasting passion for piano performance and music education.

Sepand studied piano as well as music theory, harmony, and counterpoint under the guidance of Sohrab Mehrabi, where he developed a strong foundation in both practical musicianship and theoretical understanding.

As a performer, Sepand has appeared as a solo pianist in various recitals and concerts and has collaborated with vocalists and instrumentalists in duet and ensemble performances. He has also worked as a collaborative pianist, including performing as an accompanist in a Choir concerts.

With over six years of teaching experience, Sepand has taught in several music academies in Iran and Canada. He teaches a variety of styles, including classical piano, Iranian repertoire, and contemporary styles, helping students develop strong technical foundations alongside musical expression.

His teaching approach combines technique, music theory, ear training, and creativity to create engaging and inspiring lessons for students of all ages.
