Rena’s love for music began at age six, when she started learning the piano. What started as a simple Piano lesson quickly grew into a lifelong passion—one that she now shares with her students every day.

A classically trained pianist, Rena earned her Bachelor of Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University, under the study of Leslie De’ath. She is also a Music Therapist certified by the Canadian Association of Music Therapists (MTA) and Certified Board for Music Therapists (MT-BC). Throughout her musical journey, Rena has performed in competitions such as the Scarborough Music Festival, Kiwanis Music Festival, and Toronto Music Festival—earning multiple awards. She has also participated in masterclasses and performed with community orchestras, continually refining her craft through mentorship from celebrated pianists and educators.

Rena is a patient, encouraging and supportive teacher. When teaching, Rena creates a welcoming, encouraging environment where students feel supported and inspired. At the same time, she also tries to balance technical fundamentals. She carefully adapts lessons to suit each individual’s learning style, musical interests, and goals

Having experience working with clients and students of all ages and backgrounds, Rena is passionate about guiding others on their musical journey. She hopes to help students find their voice and be able to express themselves freely. During her free time, she enjoys baking, and spending time with friends and family
