Classical Guitarist / Musical Therapist / Educator
Nasim Bakht is a distinguished classical guitarist and certified music therapist with over 20 years of experience in performance and teaching. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music (specializing in World Instrument Performance) from the University of Art and Architecture, Tehran, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Music Therapy and Child Psychology.
She also holds a certification in Special Needs Education from Kharazmi University and completed music therapy training at Shahid Beheshti University under Dr. Zadeh Mohammadi. Nasim was accepted into the music program at Heidelberg University, Germany.
Her accomplishments include serving as assistant composer and researcher for the “Iranian Lullabies” project, performing in Strasbourg, France with the Nowak Ensemble in 2019, and appearing as a guitarist in the television series Sargijeh directed by Behrang Tofighi in 2012.
She also played guitar in the feature film Pir Pesar directed by Oktay Baraheni (2022), and in the music album In Khaneh Bi To (This House Without You) composed by Mehdi Abbasi (2018). Nasim has delivered numerous solo recitals and ensemble performances since 2004.
She was a jury member for the Classical Guitar Competition held by the Classical Guitar Society in 2017.
Combining her classical performance background with therapeutic education, Nasim brings a unique, student-centered approach to her teaching. She has performed internationally, contributed to music in film and television, and worked extensively with children and students with special needs.
