Karen Zhang is a passionate music educator and performer with a strong foundation in both piano and voice. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Queen’s University, where she specialized in classical piano and also pursued vocal studies, ensemble performance, and music education. Her diverse musical background includes experience in chamber ensembles, choirs, and musical theatre productions, allowing her to bring a well-rounded and engaging approach to her teaching.

Karen has been teaching piano and voice to students of all ages and skill levels, helping them build confidence, technical ability, and a genuine love for music. She believes in meeting each student where they are, tailoring lessons to suit individual goals—whether it’s RCM exam preparation, audition coaching, or recreational learning.

Known for her patient, enthusiastic, and encouraging teaching style, Karen creates a supportive learning environment where students feel heard, motivated, and inspired to grow. She is also certified in First Aid and CPR, ensuring a safe and responsible learning space for all students. Karen is thrilled to be part of the Farnoosh Music Academy team and looks forward to guiding each student on their unique musical journey.
