Arta Ghatrifi

Meet Arta, a passionate and accomplished musician and music instructor! With over 15 years of experience in performance and music education, he specializes in teaching piano and cello while helping students develop strong musical foundations and confidence in their playing. Arta is currently pursuing a degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University, while continuing his professional musical career as a performer, composer, and educator.
Arta has performed at renowned venues such as Maison Symphonique de Montréal, Salle Tanna Schulich, Schulich Pollack Hall, and Théâtre Maisonneuve, and has collaborated with ensembles including the McGill Symphony Orchestra, the Youth Orchestra of Mount Royal, and the McGill String Ensemble. In addition to orchestral performances, he is the leader, singer, and instrumentalist of the BlueBoys music band and has performed in well-known jazz and live music venues.
As an instructor, Arta believes that music is a powerful tool for self-expression, discipline, and creativity. His teaching philosophy combines technical development with musical exploration, creating personalized lesson plans tailored to each student’s abilities and goals. Whether students are beginners discovering music for the first time or advanced musicians refining their skills, Arta strives to inspire confidence, critical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
